Today, we are not looking at Silver, because it is considered still cheap, though it is raising in prices.
Compared to gold, silver is kind of low in our eyes. But you never know - what will be the future. Silver was just Rs.30 bunch of days back. Now it is Rs.55 and gold at around Rs.1940 today.
Just notice the price difference for Silver and just see the silver's chart price!
If you go and buy at Rs.55 for around 20 grams - that comes to around Rs.1100. If you keep repeating that you can gain 1Kg or 2Kg over a period of time or over the years without any strain to your pocket or wallet.
I think that works out - because shelling out Rs.1000 is not a problem then and there. Avoid probably eating out sometimes and you can do this.
Why don't we do this?
All these are my personal advices which struck to my mind and I do not gain anything if you buy gold or silver:)!!!

Silver is going up - Good Opportunity
Invest in Gold every week or month - Chennai Finance, Chennai Gold Prices
Considering the cost of Gold and Silver (every precious metal) is increasing, it is not a good way to go and buy gold in bulk. I will not have ability to purchase gold in one shot for many sovereigns. Because that is going to be very costly.
Instead, here is a strategy to accumulate more gold at home, without any strain to your pocket or wallet or bank account.
1) Set a day in a week or a month for purchase of gold.
2) Fix a reliable Gold Jewellery shop.
3) Enquire the return policy of gold in the jewellery shop and make sure they take back gold for the market rate and no commission out of it.
4) Purchase gold or silver periodically like 1 gram to 2 gram to 4 grams every period - say week or month, depending upon your capability.
5) Remember to buy only gold coin for this purpose, which is only 3% making charge (lowest) and 1% VAT. Prefer to pay in cash, so that you don't get 1% more for Card purchase.
6) Say for example - you buy 4 grams of gold every month OR 1 gram every week - you end up with 6 sovereigns of GOLD at the end of the year.
7) Cultural point - we associate our daughters with gold for some reason. Hence, when the child gets born, and you start doing this activity of purchasing gold in denominations, you end up with 120 sovereigns of gold by 20 years of your daughter's age!
8) In this, you don't have to worry about Gold price going down or going up. Your cost gets averaged and you don't get disturbed by any ups and downs. Mental peace and also you get the asset of GOLD, which is never changing and always increasing ASSET.
Isn't that amazing?
9) Well, at last don't forget to have a locker opened in your local bank. You will have to store the precious metals in the Bank locker and not in your home. That is a danger for every one and that might lead to loss!

Power cut in Chennai, Trichy, Coimbatore and other cities of Tamil Nadu
I have been travelling to the cities of Tamil Nadu recently like Chennai, Trichy, Coimbatore etc., and I suffer for 2 to 3 hours every day without power.
How can businesses and offices running without power? What does government or specifically electricity department think about businesses running.
Some of the businesses are impossible to run without power. Not everyone will be able to invest in Inverters and Generators for their businesses.
Why is this power cut? This is lot of inconvenience for the business in these cities.
Every saturday in some areas of Trichy, whole saturday is cut!
Oh, come on - I am not sure what do they think when they plan this. It is not like olden days, when we used to run and operate without power supply. Every instrument and machine depends on power and in many times even human beings for the sake of A/C and fan facility to run.
Are we not having enough power for everyone? This is a land where we have Neyveli in the state - how does that happen?

Beating the summer in Chennai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Chennai, Erode, Salem, Tirunelveli and rest of Tamil Nadu
How to beat summer in the hot places in Tamil Nadu?
As you know as soon as you get out of your home (at least it is assumed that you have fan in house), it sweats a lot, head aches and your mouth gets dried. These are definitely symptoms of hot summer in our town. Even though it is torture in some ways, we can enjoy summer in lot many ways in our town.
In other hand, summers are usually enjoyed in foreign countries, but we think it as pain. But, never mind that is how it is.
Well, how to beat the summer heat and how to enjoy at the same time?
If you are in South Chennai, you can see lot of vendors lined up just near the Madura College and Tamil Nadu Poly technic college.
Sugarcane Juice vendors - they squeeze the lemon with the white sugar cane and give you with or without ice - and very sweet and cold Sugar cane juices. In fact, there are shops which provide more flavoured sugar cane juices.
Big big Watermelon has come out these days. The combination of Green, white and Red color with black spots in it. Awesome - when the vendor cuts it nicely and sprays salt and chilli powder and you eat with fork on the road - awesome taste:)
Next is as usual, Tender coconut - you ask for more water which is sweet and also say that you want Vazhukkai (that means not proper coconut, but a light layer of cocounut), that gives the taste to the tender coconut water as well. It is great. My daughter loves it! We do it as a family activity and we three love it - my wife, my daughter and I.
Apart from that you get fresh juice and bottled juice or soft drinks of course.
Do not read below - if you are less than or equal to 18 years old.
And at last, if you are alcohol lover, obviously you know what are the options you have;) Have B**r with green grapes in the mid summer and mid-day in an A/C room and then as a completion to the lunch you have a chicken/mutton biriyani. Isn't that a complete lunch;)? Just kidding - don't follow this unless you are an alcohol lover!

Old Plays (Vilayaattu) getting lost in Chennai and rest of tamil nadu
I remember in my child hood days, we used to play various games - about not just run around and play, but sit-and-play kind of plays.
Some of them to list are - Paramapadham, Chottan kallu, pallaan kuzhi etc., I could remember only few, but there are more I am sure.
Paramapadham is a game which has a chart or a map kind of sheet which is laid on the ground. Based on the dice's rotation and its number the coin is moved above in the chart. If there is a ladder, the coin climbs up. If there is a snake in the slot, then the coin comes down to the tail. Have you played this? Well, if you have played - you will realize how many of the children are playing today?
Chottan Kallu is played with few stones. It is again a sit and play play. The players throw a stone and catch bunch of stones etc., It is kind of tricky and nice to play - after you are skilled to do the same.
Pallaam Kuzhi is a game with a vessel which has 12 slots I think (correct me, if I am wrong). Tamarind seeds are filled in it and moved around. In fact, I am not able to recollect the game exactly.
Othayaa Rettayaa game is a game where you hide and ask a bunch of items in hand (usually tamarind seeds) and once the partner claims if it is othayaa rettayaa, then you declare and win or loose lot of tamarind seeds.
There are other plays outdoor, which are lost are - Kitti Pullu (Small stick and a longer stick), playing with marbles (Goli Kundu) and 7 Stones (Game played with seven stones).
Well, though I have covered a lot, I might have missed many. Hope this article took many of us back to the good olden days, when we spent childhood and never can be taken back.

Online Marketing Partner for your Real Estate, Cars, Jobs, Products or Services
A friend of mine called me today and mentioned that his old teacher was concerned about something. He asked what are you concerned about. Then the teacher told him that he has around 3.5 acres in outskirts of Chennai and he is trying to sell the land in plot by plot basis.
The nearby lands are all selling well, but he is not able to sell any property, it seems. Then the teacher asked the neighbouring land owner - how did you sell? He mentioned we have given ads online in internet and we were able to sell the land easily.
Well, the teacher was shocked and called his student, who is in software field. Then the student told the teacher, not every one will be capable of performing the internet marketing. Hence, the student advised the teacher to contact OruAcre.com (99942 62942) for internet marketing of real estate.

NRIs going back to Native place some day? - Going to Chennai, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Coimbatore, Trichy one day
You might be working in Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Dubai (anywhere in Middle east), Singapore or Malayasia, United States USA, United Kingdom UK or somewhere in Europe.
We all think that someday I will go back to your native place, which might be in and around Chennai, Sivakasi, Virudhunagar, Kovilpatti, Trichy, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode etc.,
We keep thinking that someday I will go back to my native and settle down. Some expect for a IT job in the native place with sophistication of whatever you were availing in your migrated place. I think, for that you will have to wait for 40-50 years.
Though I was born in Chennai, I have lived in Trichy, I have lived in Bangalore. I have lived in Hyderabad. I have lived in Chennai. I have lived in different parts of United States. All of them bunch of years... At some point I came back to my native place. If I look for a job, suiting my same needs which I used to enjoy in the above migrated places, I will not be able to get even today.
Only route to come back to your home town and settle is to do business! Will you agree? If you don't agree, I can explain!!
Comparing your salary outside your home town, you won't get the same salary in your home town. It is going to be incomparably lowwww. The standard of living might not be same.
Only way to get satisfaction is to start a business of your own and provide employment to yourself and to others. That is the best thing you can do.
In other hand - the point I want to mention in this article is - even though NRIs want to come back to their home town, they cannot come back. Given their lifestyle in the migrated place, given their salary, given their adaptation to the life their, they cannot come back. This applies to both NRIs and also who migrated to other cities. This is a challenge in some ways to you. Will you be able to come back? If so, I will be the first person to be happy, but you will not be able to. If possible, come back - that is good for your city and also for the country.
I know many of friends, they like their home country and home city, but they will never be able to take their action. But, I think you should. However when you plan to come back to your city, plan appropriately. Do not land bad... Land safe and sound and planned - so that you don't crash without any plan. Plan appropriately, so that you can get the same lifestyle, even if you struggle for 1 or 2 years to get the same lifestyle.
Well, good luck guys!!
If you have any questions, let me know - I will be glad to answer - because I am going through!!
