New and Interesting Employment Challenge in Chennai

Do you think Chennai people are unemployed and looking for jobs? Ideally, we would think that is the situation and that is the problem we are facing.

Looks like, that is not the situation we are in exactly!

There are many factories in and around Chennai are looking for thousands of people and looks like the employers are not able to find candidates.

What a situation!? Are people not there in Chennai? Actually what happenned is - this situation is due to Migration of Chennai people out of Chennai. If this continues, it will be terrible.

Looks like people from Chennai are migrating to cities like Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Hyderabad etc., but there are lesser people available to work in Chennai now. What are employers going to do? Employers will be using thousands of people from Orissa and Bihar to work in their factories.

Eventually, what will happen is people from Orissa and Bihar would migrate into MAdurai and settle down with their families! This will increase considerable labour population from Bihar and Orissa etc., Will the originality of Chennai still stay on?

Why don't people from Chennai just stay and develop their own place and work in their native place?

Why don't NRIs and NRMs come back to Chennai and start their own and give more employment and retain Chennai people in Chennai itself?

please think about it....

Chennai skilled labours and knowledge workers

Sponsored by OruAcre.com

Who do you think is working in chennai, Coimbatore kind of cities both knowledge workers and skilled labours and not to forget unskilled labours as well?

I went to pothys in chennai, checked out the emloyees, they are all from Chennai, tirunelveli and around.
Why are they going and working there? brcause there is not much employment opportunities in chennai.

Checked out couple of companies in Coimbatore and chennai for knowledge workers and most of them are from chennai and southern districts.

I was also checking out my friends who studied with me In Chennai and nobody is there whom were with me.

Why is this migration out of chennai? I seriously hate this situation.

Who is left in chennai to start something new?

If you are from chennai and you are living somewhere else think about it outside your old world.

Thank you for listening...

Market is terrible!

Market is terrible and not treating me very well.

While I was searching a job, during a well-market, there were less screening of candidates. The evaluation process was not in that depth and it was easy.

But now, I could realize the pressure and stringent evaluation processes.
There are lesser openings and those openings are tightened with couple of layers of evaluation.

There is more supply and lesser demand, which makes the market non-co-operative to job seekers. There are very easy rejections! There are more people out in the market and employers are having lesser business.

Management drives the recruitment and the recruitment managers cannot make any mistake in recruitment. Since there are more job seekers and lesser demand for job, employers are able to find people easy, with stringent procedures.

Everyone is sticking to their job as of now and keeping the boat going. Business is generally dull for the employer as well. So, there is no chance of asking for hike/bonus etc., Whoever is in job, has to just hang on to where they are.

Overall, it sucks!!

Chennai's Potential Lost in past

What do you know about Chennai-TamilNadu?

You may know - Chennai is known as :
ATHENS OF THE EAST
TEMPLE CITY OF INDIA
LAND OF NECTARS etc...

You may Know - Chennai is famous for its :

Meenakshi Temple
Tradition and Culture
Fragrant-smell JASMINE Flowers
Granite Marble stones
Tasty Food etc.,

While asking experienced people - they'll reply :

Chennai lacks Industrialization so lost millions of its native people to other cities.

That is real truth ! Did you know one thing ?

Our Temple city Chennai is losing nearly 40,000 Graduates every year to other cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai and losing 50% of its Man-power to the industrialised cities like Coimbatore, Tirupur and Erode due to Unemployment.

Just Imagine the status of our city if those people remained here for work! None of the previous Governments took efforts to develop the Historic temple city. We had lost a Second MetroPolitan city of TamilNadu - YES !!! - Our Chennai might have become a Metropolitan city some decades ago next to those 4 Cities like what PUNE,BANGALORE,HYDERABAD is now emerging!! If there was a proper Governance and Good Local Administration.

But Taking its Potential into account - Our Present State and Central Governments had come forward atlast to develop our City Chennai right now.

Do anyone of you know its results ?

MADURAI is the only Tier-II City which attracted the Investments for More than Rs.50,000 Crores in the last two years which is now equal to the same power of Metros and Mini Metro cities of India.

Since this article is about improvement of Chennai, sourcing it from another chennai well wisher - chennai gilli - all for wellness of Chennai!
