New Delhi, India: Dot Com Infoway has bagged the mBillionth award for the South Asian region for one of its most popular apps, VTV Songs.
The company achieved Top 5 finalists award in mBillionth's M-Entertainment category among 176 contestants from India and other South Asian countries. DCI was honored with a certificate of recognition for contributing to the creation, development and marketing of the app.
'VTV Songs' is a special entertainment app from DCI Mobile Studios. Made in association with Sony Music Entertainment India, under the guidance of Galatta.com, 'VTV Songs' is the first-ever iPhone application for an Indian movie. In addition to that, 'VTV Songs' is the first-ever iPhone app released on the composition of Academy Award Winner A.R. Rahman. 'VTV Songs' is named after 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa', a South Indian movie starring actors Simbu and Trisha. While 'VTV Songs' comes for free, its close kin 'VTV Songs Download' is a paid app. It allows users to enjoy the soundtrack of the movie all time, with or without internet connection.

Form a Company in Chennai and in India - Watch this movie Rocket Singh - Inspirational and Motivational
I saw a movie just now - "Rocket Singh - Salesman of the year".
I was very much impressed for the story and the motivation in the story. A new trainee salesman gets a bad treatment and embarrassment in his first job and was not given a chance for improvement in the company. He decides to cheat and build a company of his own, while he is in the day job. Rest of the story shows how he becomes a success story. You will be impressed by this movie...
In the climax, his previous boss would give a quote and I loved it about forming a company -
"When blood and sweat are printed together on paper,
beds becomes table,
home becomes office,
hunger and thirst are forgotten and children are neglected
there forms the real company"
Awesome and very motivational. I will keep this in mind!

Chennai PRP
Before ADMK left Chennai constituency to CPI(M), there was a news that ADMK was searching an "equally" powerful person for Mr.Azhagiri standing in Chennai for DMK. ADMK official O Panneerselvam was assigned the job of convincing Mr. P Palanichamy, PRP Granites and Exports owner.
However, looks like Mr. P Palanichamy did not agree to contest in the election for some reason!
PRP Exports is headed by Mr.P. Palanichamy, a veteran in the field known for his extensive knowledge on granites. He is ably assisted and supported by Mr.P.Senthil Kumar, Mr.P. Suresh Kumar and Mr.K. Murugesan as the pillars of M/s PRP Exports.

What does Satyam Computers's situation mean to Chennai?
We all know the situation of Satyam today, due to mishandling of accounts/books in Satyam Computers. What does this mean to Chennai and other cities??

Allotment orders to the Top IT Companies - HCL, Satyam, Sutherland, Scope, Tessolve, Honeywell etc., in Chennai IT Park
Chennai IT Park was in PAPER and DOCUMENTs so far.
Now, it is becoming reality.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Kalaignar M Karunanidhi had allotted lands to the top IT companies from HCL, Sathyam, Sutherland, Scope, Tessolve and Honeywell in Chennai IT Park in Vadapalanji.
Chennai is on the IT revolution right now. Karunanidhi granted allotment orders for 160 acres in Chennai, Tirunelveli, Tiruchi and in Chennai, to top 8 companies that have come forward to set up shop in IT Parks being set up by the state owned Electronics corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT).
The IT companies have surely realised that they stand to gain by moving to the IT SEZs in Tier II cities, like the ones in Chennai, Tirunelveli(Nanguneri SEZs) and Tiruchi. As the STPI benefits will last only till 2010, the IT SEZs are the preferred destinations as companies can enjoy benefits for 10 more years.

Customer Satisfaction in any business: Enterprise Car Company
Enterprise Rental Car Company Customer Treatment
I live in Virginia, United States - and I took a rental car from Enterprise Rental Car company and I was very happy with one of their gesture.
I and my brother-in-law called up this company's customer service and they said they will pick us up from our home and even drop us back to our home from the rental car place. Isn't that a wonderful feature or service they provide to the customers.
In fact, I was very happy about that feature - When someone is taking a rental car - 80% of the reason would be that the customer does not have a car, but he/she is licensed to drive and want to go places. So, considering this it perfectly makes perfect sense to have this service and I am sure many people will like this service.
If any other rental car company does not provide this service, please take this up. It is worth trying. BTW, I will go only to Enteprise, since they have pleased me!!:-)

Chennai ideal for BPO business/company: Chennai advantage as a tier-II city

According to a recent study conducted by consultancy firm Everest Group, the increased real estate prices and a talent crunch in metros are forcing the $11 billion Indian BPO industry to move to tier II cities in the country.
"It is difficult to maintain the growth in tier I cities because of the rising real estate prices and talent crunch. There is no option but to move to tier II cities," Everest Group's Country Head (India) Gaurav Gupta said.
Currently, BPO industry is concentrated in seven cities namely Bangalore, NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
"Movement to lower-cost cities within India is likely to result in additional 15 to 30 percent reduction in operating cost despite lower employability and higher management costs," head of Global Services at Everest Research Institute Nikhil Rajpal said.
Everest Group is a global consulting firm specializing in sourcing and offshoring advisory services. The study ranks several tier II and tier III cities on their potential to become the next BPO hubs for various domains in the future.
For finance and accounting services, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Jaipur, Indore and Nashik/Nasik emerge as ideal cities to host BPO firms.
Similarly, Nagpur, Vishakhapatnam, Ahmedabad, Mundra, Coimbatore and Chennai are ideal locations to have BPO operations in logistics domain.
