MADITSSIA to setup an engineering cluster in Thumbaipatti Chennai

The Chennai District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association (MADITSSIA) is planning to set upan engineering cluster in 50 acres at nearby Thumbaipatti.

N Somasundaram, President of the Association, toldreporters today that the cluster would get a subsidy of Rs onecrore from the Tamil Nadu government and would consist offabrication units, mainly ancillary units for the Bharat HeavyElectricals and a private company.

About 1,000 employees would be employed in the clusterwhere 20 units would be established, Somasundaram said.

Facilities such Quality Testing would be available in the cluster, he added.
