International Terminal in Chennai Airport Function: A Recap

The Tamil Nadu government had given administrative sanction to acquire 614.33 acres of land to expand the Chennai airport, Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi said, laying the foundation stone for a terminal building here on Saturday.

By March 2009, we would have the first international flight from this new terminal, he added. - Bureau Report

Chief minister M Karunanidhi on Saturday April 26th 2008 laid the foundation stone for a new integrated terminal building at the Chennai airport, a facility that would handle 500 passengers at a time.

Airport officials said the integrated terminal building would be ready by March 2009. Constructed at a cost of Rs 130 crore, it would have state-of-the-art facilities and amenities, including aerobridges, flight information display system and centralised air-conditioning.

The present terminal has the capacity to handle only 200 passengers.

Karunanidhi said all airports in the state would be pieces of architectural excellence and match world class airports.

Karunanidhi also laid the foundation stones for IT parks developed by Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu at Ilandaikulam and Vadapalanji in Chennai.

No agricultural land for SEZ - Chennai Lands

This is about Chennai land and other lands in india, being acquired by government from farmers.

The central government of india said no agricultural and irrigated land should be taken for Special Economic Zones.

“When a person is not ready to sell his land and it is acquired through the law, he has to be compensated financially as well as psychologically. Besides, land for land is also acceptable,” he said.

Is Chennai Real Estate coming up? Is Chennai land costs hiking up?

Is Chennai Real Estate coming up? Is Chennai land costs hiking up?
Is buying a land in Chennai a good idea right now? Is it really worth to buy a land in Chennai?


Answers for all the questions above is YES.
Anytime, investing in Real Estate is a good idea. Most of the time, from a long-term perspective, investing in Real Estate is good.

Especially, when we have a news floating around - which would flourish the location in couple of years, then we need to move forward in buying the land. Here are some tips to buy a land in Chennai.

(1) First of all, find out whether the news of IT park in Chennai is valid or not.
(2) Check which side of Chennai, the actual IT park is coming up. Is it in south chennai or north chennai or near the chennai kamaraj university?
(3) See whether you have anybody help in Chennai for getting you the right contacts before buying the land in Chennai and also maintenance of the land after you buy the land.
(4) After above all conditions, we will have to contact the seller or broker to finalize the deal.
(5) Before you finalize the deal, you need to have couple of choices to buy a land in chennai. So list out all the lands from all the sellers and brokers or real estate agents.
(6) People will try to fool you because you are in a desire to buy a land in chennai at any cost and you should be wary about agents in chennai before they cheat you.
(7) Once you choose a land to buy, go through the validity check for couple of years backwards in chennai corporation.
(8) If the land passes in validity check for like 50-100 years, then go ahead in the documentation and finalizing the deal.

To give you some hints, what I have found with my research was - some part of IT park is coming near MKU(west chennai) and some part of IT park is coming in the north chennai. That should give you some hint.

Even I researched on the land cost near MKU Chennai - It was all OK and good to buy. Ten acres of land was around 4 lakhs, which is around 9000 US dollars, but it is worth the money.

I am not in a position to buy, so I have not bought the lands. But if you want to buy, we can help following the above procedure and in a very professional manner.
