An Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) cluster is likely in Chennai. Members of the Software Industries Development Association of South Tamil Nadu , deliberated on the formation of an ITES cluster here on Sunday.
The concept, requirements and likely benefits from the Government were explained by Mr K.R. Gnanasambandan, Cluster Consultant and Vice-President, Tamil Nadu Small and Tiny Industries Association (Tanstia).
He pointed out the emergence of an engineering cluster and a rubber cluster in Chennai , automated match clusters in Virudhunagar, printing cluster in Sivakasi, coir cluster in Singampuneri and other clusters elsewhere in the country for the purpose of manufacturing, marketing and for the purchase of raw material and processing etc.
