Chennai Money - keep liquid investments in some cases
Chennai personal finance wisdom -
Sponsored by OruAcre.com
Are you planning a major purchase this year? If so, make sure to keep some of your investments liquid. The liquidity of an asset refers to how quickly it can be converted to cash without penalty. So, if you are planning a significant expenditure, is important to have liquid assets to avoid pulling from a long-term investment or a retirement fund at an inopportune time.
Most long-term accounts will penalize you for withdrawing your money too early. Some will take away the interest that you have earned; others will actually dip into the principal that you have invested. Utilize a high-yield savings account or a short-term Fixed deposits to have funds accessible when you need them.
Hope this helps in your savings!!!

Time is precious - DO IT NOW - Chennai Wisdom
There is never better good time for doing good things. Do not rely on stupid panchangams and nalla nerams. If you think I am wrong and if you believe strongly panchangams are good and proven - please email me or comment on this blog post.
I know people in Chennai (not all, but mostly) just believe about good times, bad times. Do not delay doing things. Things get delayed due to good times and bad times. Why not just do it today or any planned time?
Is other country people looking at all these good times and bad times? Aren't they living better and well, even though they don't see all those times? Let me know if you have any comment - and I would like to know what you all think!!!
Opportunities never come again, so never delay it for good times!! Do it now!!

No negative thoughts - only positive thoughts - Chennai wisdom
Do not live on negative thoughts anytime. As soon as you in take a negative thought or a saying from someone, immediately kick it out of your mind. If you allow negative thought to come and stay in your mind, then it automatically takes you down.
Why not just stop it when it comes to you first time and in a small scale. It is similar to the garbage at your place. When you get a garbage into your house, immediately think about getting rid of it and placing it in the trash. If you keep piling or even a small bit of it lying in your house then that will make you house stink and at the same time occupy your precious space.
If you are going towards your dream and going towards your achievement in life, then do not accept any negative thoughts.
Say - if you are saying you want to serve your society and you get constant negative thoughts, do not care for it. As you know Chennai is a conservative place and today if you say you want to quit your job and start your business of your own then you get all kinds of advice and placing hindrance to your thoughts about entrepreneurship. That is one main hurdle every youngster is facing today. Most of Chennai citizens live in joint family or atleast the decisions are made by more than one person in family - so it is a great hindrance for entrepreneurship and development in and of Chennai.

Chennai skilled labours and knowledge workers
Who do you think is working in chennai, Coimbatore kind of cities both knowledge workers and skilled labours and not to forget unskilled labours as well?
I went to pothys in chennai, checked out the emloyees, they are all from Chennai, tirunelveli and around.
Why are they going and working there? brcause there is not much employment opportunities in chennai.
Checked out couple of companies in Coimbatore and chennai for knowledge workers and most of them are from chennai and southern districts.
I was also checking out my friends who studied with me In Chennai and nobody is there whom were with me.
Why is this migration out of chennai? I seriously hate this situation.
Who is left in chennai to start something new?
If you are from chennai and you are living somewhere else think about it outside your old world.
Thank you for listening...

All day long Power cuts in Chennai
How do businesses run here? Would they use some kind of generator/inverter?
What would residential communities do about it? How do they manage in this hot weather? Would it not affect the businesses which needs power?
What is the reason to the power cuts? Is it because there is not enough power generated? or god's sake we are living in a state where power is generated (Neyveli)!
I don't have answers to any of this! We take lot of things for granted and learn to adjust to the life, based on what is provided! We are never trying to rectify or fix the situation...

Chennai traffic police gets a/c kiosks
There is an anonymous NGO providing this facility to only Chennai traffic police.
Lucky Chennai traffic police!!!!!
Due to overheat of Chennai with almost 42 degrees celcius, there is no safe and healthy work environment for Chennai traffic police.
Hence this gift for them. Moreover, this kiosk is wheeled so it can be moved to a different place based on the traffic and the tragfic can be controlled while sitting inside this kiosk.
Good for chennai traffic police. We appreciate the NGO who donated this, but it would be ideal if this comes through state budget.

Chennai Tirunagar to Chennai Airport Road Infrastructure Approved
Sponsored by OruAcre.com
Since there is IT park coming up in Vadapazhanji area in Chennai, it was evaluated that there is a possibility of lot of traffic from Tirunagar area and traffic from Theni area in future. If anybody has to go to Chennai Airport from Theni or Thirunagar area in Chennai, they have to go a long way via Palgalai nagar, Vadapazhanji, Thirunagar, Kappalur, Ring road to reach Chennai Airport. This leads too much time and lot of petrol wastage.
Hence, there was a proposal for a road from Tirunagar to Chennai Airport and it is approved by Tamil Nadu State Transport.
Great! It is an infrastructure improvement in Chennai and at the same time Chennai Real Estate will have great improvement in that area.

Chennai an Emerging Health Care Destination - Cheap, Best and Caring
Advantage Chennai:
According to hospital sources, the cost of treatment is less in Chennai. A heart surgery is done just for Rs.1.25 lakhs, whereas, at Chennai, the same is done for Rs.2.5 lakhs. While an Angiogram is performed for Rs.13,500, the same costs Rs.30,000 in Bengaluru . In addition, there is a human touch and personalized service by senior doctors throughout. Major portion of the cost, anywhere is spent by patients on purchase of medicine but there is a definite 30% to 40% operational cost advantage to the patients at Chennai, the sources vouch.
Connectivity:
The increase in the flow of patients is attributed to the improving connectivity to the city through road and rail. The moment the Airport here becomes an international airport, which is planned soon, Chennai could as well combine healthcare and tourism in a significant measure, says a report from Confederation of Indian Industry. 'We see a good potential. Only thing lacking is an international airport', according to Dr. Pugalagiri Vadamalayan, Managing Director, Vadamalayan Hospitals (VH).
Mix:
The chemistry of the city is undergoing a change and a composite culture is in the process of evolution as the numbers of doctors from outside the State, serving in the hospitals are on the rise. There are quite a few visiting consultant doctors from abroad such as Canada, adds Mrs.Hemalakshmi.S., Chief Operating Officer, VH.
Evolution:
Patients from southern districts, earlier used to visit Chennai for treatment at the Government Hospital. The scenario has changed with the emergence of corporate hospitals in the last two decades. Apart from the Aravind Eye Hospital, known worldwide for eye care and Apollo Hospitals from Chennai, there are two home grown corporate hospitals –VH and Devadas Multi-speciality Hospital (DMH). The Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre (MMHRC), a charitable institution is run in a corporate way. The Iswarya Women Care and Fertility Centre (IWCFC), in the nearby Palani, is gaining in attention.
Distinction:
These hospitals have earned distinct recognition. Evolving over time, they have attained and set standards in patient care, academic and research and community development.

Hats off to you Dr.V!! Your seeds which were sowed in 1976 are growing into big trees today!!

Nithyananda Scandal with Ranjitha Actress – Overly Communitive World
Have we ever seen such a video before about a celebrity and the interesting thing is the reach of the “word” to people and how fast and in all means. It is a real Wowwwww!
What an over communicative world we are in now. In fact, it is too much of
communication.
Good or bad – it is stunning to see the word reaching millions of people within just short period of time.
Going back to the past, we had only newspapers to have the message or news to the people. In order for the news to reach, first hand via newspaper, the person has to know how to read or that person has to be linked to people who read etc., Atleast there are so many hurdles before a person gets the news about anything good or bad via newspaper.
Next came the radios, atleast this was better. Then came Television. We thought Television was powerful, but you know what – we are in much newer generation – where the news spreads like a fire or even faster than fire.
Given the example, It started with – in fact SUN TV started showing the video with some censor at least and helping the identity of the actress and they were decent. There are videos which came out from Nakkeeran and others (private parties) who had it uncensored (to an extent) and when I saw the number of views was 352 or so. Now, it has crossed 100s of 1000s. unbelievable!
In other hand to Videos, there are other communication mediums – specific Websites Or social media websites like Facebook. There are broadcasts and propoganda going against the Swami (“holy” man Nithyananda) and also there are propoganda in facebook and youtube “FOR” the Swami (“holy” man Nithyananda). Can you believe, there are still supporters of this man!? How smart and intelligent people are!!
Oh, I cannot forget this – Twitter, Google Buzz, Orkut, Facebook, Blogs! if you calculate how many people follow how many – you will be stunned to know that even a TV cannot beat the level of communication in terms of speed and content and news it can communicate to huge number of people (we are talking about Millions of people).
I wouldn’t forget the phone, email, VoIP etc.,. Many communicated via the same as well. There is nobody today in Tamil Nadu (a state in India) who do not know this scandal and in that case thousands or NRIs outside the country also is included.
This is called Overly-Communicated world! Every three years, we are in a different generation of the world, unlike those olden days where every 20-30-40 years another generation comes up.
OK, now – the example we considered was a BAD or DIRTY news. This is the first example for the country like India to “consume” or realize the existing powerful media and communicative world we are in. It was shocking to see a bad news (victim swami) to realize this media’s power.
Well, it is a realization anyway – whatever the news it might be. This is a great opportunity from an Online Marketing perspective. We should be able to spread ANY news to HUGE amounts of people within seconds and minutes.
Use the opportunity to build your business or make revenue! Well, that is enough on this article. Hope you liked it!!!

What is in a hair? - Chennai Beauty
Why are women obsessed about maintaining their hair? What difference does it make if we make the hair straight or whatever they want to do?
If cinema heroines are doing straightening or a modelling person does the same, then there is a reason to it. Why do normal ladies want to do straightening by spending about Rs.10,000 in Chennai or in that case in India. I might be quoting less - it costs probably more than that.
What is the use out of making the hair straight? That makes it longer? Is that the reason you are trying to make it straightened? Don't we want to just grow, as we have been in doing in a traditional manner?
When someone is earning Rs.30,000 to Rs.50,000 a month, why would they spend Rs.10,000 for just a hair straightening? Don't you think it is completely idiotic to do that?
I am sorry, if I am not understanding - but please explain me what is the reason to spend that much money on a hair thing? There are lot better things that can be done when we can do with that same money.
